A pink wedding dress for Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore got married, again. But what makes her wedding now extra special was the pink dress she wore as she walked down the aisle to meet her husband, musician Taylor Goldsmith, at the altar.
The 34-year-old star of “This Is Us,” whose real name is Amanda Leigh Moore, tied the knot with the 33-year-old Dawes frontman on Sunday, November 18, in an intimate ceremony held at the backyard of Moore’s home in Los Angeles. Reception was later held at The Fig House in the Highland Park neighborhood.
Moore looked beautiful in her blush pink gown designed by Rodarte that featured a tiered tulle skirt, floral-embellished waist and high ruffled neckline, which was complemented by a veil, swept-back tousled tresses and pink eye shadow. She was made even beautiful by the stunning makeup done by the actress’ makeup artist, Jenn Streicher.
The intimate wedding was attended by the couple’s closest friends and respective families. Moore described the wedding as more of an elevated house party with nothing fancy but lots of music. “We wanted it to feel very much like us,” she says of how they prepared for the wedding.
Among the celebrities who attended the wedding are Sterling K. Brown, Minka Kelly, Milo Ventimiglia, Wilmer Valderrama and Chrissy Metz.
A month before the wedding, Moore went on a trip with her girl friends to New Orleans in Louisiana. She said the vacation trip also served as her bachelorette getaway before finally tying the knot with Goldsmith.
Moore said the trip was the best as she liked the food, the culture and the architecture.
Moore first married musician Ryan Adams in 2009 but they divorced in 2015. She and Goldsmith got engaged in September after two years of dating. It was Goldsmith’s first wedding.
Mandy Moore started her singing career while she was 15 years old through her first record “So Real.” She then went on a tour with the Backstreet Boys.
From singing, she ventured into acting and first appeared in “A Walk to Remember” in 2002 which earned her an MTV Movie award. Aside from “This Is Us,” she also appeared in a few other films such as “Chasing Liberty,” “Racing Stripes,” “Because I Said So,” “License to Wed,” “Southland Tales,” and “47 Metres Down,” among other films. She was also the voice behind Rapunzel in the Disney animation “Tangled,” which was released in 2010.
